Trap Masters are expensive if you plan on unlocking everything in the game - keep checking Gamestop for second-hand deals, or do what we do, jump on the bandwagon a year after the latest release!

We bought this for our 6 year old for Christmas. He loves to! This is a great gift for a child who loves video games. Age-appropriate content also makes birthday gifts easier, as we can easily buy a new Skylander character or trap to play with. He can also figure out the game on his own without our help, which is great for me because I don't play video games and can never help him with games he gets stuck in.

My son just got interested in Skylanders sets and this was his first set, he loves it! It doesn't matter if it's not the newest set, all Skylanders sets seem fun. We will definitely buy more in the future!

My girls love it. Lots of fun for little kids. Some of the jokes are a bit lowbrow, but the kids love it. Definitely a price-gate for accessing a lot of content due to the need for specific 'traps' or Skylanders, but a solid gaming experience for kids. Easy enough for young players.
