Having set up two Skylink switches it was time to get this remote to control them. I followed the programming instructions for the remote and it was up and running in minutes.

I installed a switch to control 2 kitchen lights which I couldn't do with a 3 position switch but wanted to control it from 2 opposite ends of the kitchen. Now 1 button can toggle both on/off, or it can toggle just what I choose.

Purchased with "SkylinkHome MD-318 Remote Controllable Wireless Lighting Wire-In On/Off/Dimming Module". Use with good quality dimmable LED bulbs. The lights will not dim or flash when fully on. We used ordinary incandescent bulbs - they don't flicker, but they don't dim either. A replacement dimming module was sent but the problem is the same. I only kept it because I didn't have anything better at the time and I'm constantly reminded that I should have returned it when I had the chance.

I purchased this item with the LS-318 plug-in dimmer receiver, GB-318 garage door receiver and ID-318 motion detector. There are nights when I work very late and my wife comes into a dark and empty house. There have been several home invasions in the past few months, so she's a little scared. I bought this adapter thinking it would just plug into the existing wiring in my home, but it doesn't. Look at your wiring system before you buy it. If your wiring is as old as ours and there is NO white neutral in your house wiring, this will NOT work. They should have modern wiring with a white neutral wire.
