Works perfectly. on Welding & Soldering

Great tool, works as described. The assembly was very easy and heats up well after installation. It has worked many times and I was not disappointed. Generally worth the money.

Works best in heat gun

I've been a welder all my life, I needed to repair a polyethylene tank for a mobile home and I decided to give it a try. I watched a few videos, practiced some practice welds on some of the leftovers I had, and got to work. It definitely has a learning curve and is a little different from steel welding but has the same concept. I took it off, it holds water and looks decent, not that looks matter but I'm a professional welder so it mattered.

Not 1400 watts. on heat guns

A quick test shows approx. 700W. Haven't used it much yet, it seems to heat up high enough to melt the plastic I've tested it on, but I'm concerned that the item supplied in the unit may be the 240v version, which would make sense if it was supposed to be a little over double what I'm getting at 120V. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to control the airflow rate. This can pose a problem during actual use. Will update the review if I can confirm that anyway.

plastic welder? c Soldering and Soldering Equipment

5/1/20 seems good. Did some exercise today. The warm up took a while. It needed time to cool down. Practiced on a cracked storage box. You need to get enough heat to melt the plastic mass as there is a fine melt line of thin plastic. Only comes with 3 pieces, so enough to practice a few times. 04/30/20 The first impression - this is NOT a cheap device! He is healthy and strong. The reason some of the pictures show an additional ceramic heating element is because they might be OPTIONAL! goodโ€ฆ
