These are by far the best eye masks I have ever used. They seem durable (although I've only had them a few days so I don't know how durable they are yet) and thick but not bulky or heavy. They are soft and have good cushion when placed around your eyes. They have velcro but it's very small/good so it doesn't get caught on my hair. I had to buy another mask after the one I bought last year came apart at the seams. My main decision in purchasing this particular set was that the edges are sewn rather than glued (as my others fell apart). so the stitched edges feel really strong, a definite plus!
