Slime Elite HD Tire Inflator (Model 40063): Heavy-Duty Performance Boost Review

Of the three tire inflation pumps I've had, this is the best, fastest and quietest. This quickly put several pounds of air in each tire on the SUV. I set the auto shut off two pounds higher than necessary to account for losses due to the flapper valve plug and then checked with a tire gauge. A perfect result every time. Great tire blower!

Very happy with the purchase. I like being able to set it and forget it, so being able to set the pressure was nice. You really need to get a PSI or two more because the screw mount lets in a little more air than I'm used to. The hose extension feels a bit unwieldy until you first need it, and then it doesn't feel so cumbersome to pack them all up.

I bought it as a last resort, the day I used it was today. Get 40 psi, I set it at 40, it stopped at 40, I'm happy with that. I think they are better for a car, maybe a 1/2 ton truck will take longer but it will work. If you have a truck that is 1/2 ton or bigger you better get a heavy duty truck which I can get for my 3500 for sure

Proven tire 225/55R17 (approx 27" diameter). Pressure dropped to 18psi. It took exactly 2 minutes to get the pressure up to 30psi. 8 minutes, which is less than that recommended maximum run time is 10 minutes. Probably enough for tires up to 30-31". Electronic gauge reads 5psi - set auto shut off to 35psi to measure 30psi with a reliable gauge.

I like that it works. The pressure gauge is wrong, I need to set it 8psi higher than my car requires to get the correct pressure. 4 stars for this reason. Besides, it works fine. It turns off when it needs to be read. It doesn't overheat. The power cord is long enough to wrap around the car and the coiled tubing is great for extra reach. Every member of the family should have this product in their car. Easy to use, the Slime unit can be used to check tire pressure and allow for quick mobile tire inflation when needed. I somehow hit a nail in a tire while walking and my tire pressure light came on. I had no place nearby to check or re-inflate it.
