I am upset because it is not listed in the product description but when I received the product there was a label on it. The label said the product contained DEHP, a phthalate chemical known to cause birth defects and cancer. I researched this chemical and found that while this chemical is used to soften plastic, in this case to make roller skates soft and comfortable, it has been phased out in most cases in the US. They work as advertised. They are not intended for sleeping - they are neither soft nor soft. I see those with long hair have tangle issues. However, my hair is VERY thin and short and holds up well with no problems.
