Description of πŸ“· SMALLRIG Cold Shoe Mount Adapter Bracket: Secure Hot Shoe with 1/4" Thread for Camera Cage, Flash, LED Monitor - Pack of 2

SmallRig Cold Shoe (2pcs Pack) 2060 could be mounted on any camera accessories with 1/4" and M2.5 threaded holes, such as cage, cold shoe block, handle and plate etc. Such as cage for sony (a6500 a6300 a6500), cage for panasonic (gh5 gh4 gh3), etc. The counter bore hole in the center is attachable to a 1/4’’ screw, but the 1/4’’ screw will not touch the hot shoe contact of accessories mounted on the cold shoe. There comes with two secure bending bevels on the one end to prevent accidental removal. The arrowheads on the cold shoe show the direction to mount additional accessories.

Well designed and made but will not work with Canon 430 EX III-RT Speedlite

This cold shoe adapter is very well designed and made and can be used for a variety of purposes. However, I was surprised that my Canon 430 EX III-RT Speedlite's flash mount didn't fit in the shoe. The shoe is too small for the pins on the flash mount. I was surprised and disappointed but will use it for LED lights and cold shoe mount microphones. It would be better if the product description stated that the flash foot may not fit this shoe.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • weak

With these adapters it was necessary to add lights.

Great stuff. As a photographer, I have several battery powered LED panels that have a foot that fits in these shoes. When I was trying to figure out how to attach the lights to the body of my truck it occurred to me that I could bolt these brackets to the body and use some LED lights. These lights now do two things: one to light up the back of my truck and two to take photos and they're always with me. As a side note I bought four more and placed them in strategic places on our caravan so I can

It really fits! Works well

I bought a similar product from B&H but it was too small and didn't fit my hot shoe assembly. Install the remote control based on the hot shoe. I originally had a remote connected to a strobe control box, but the new strobe controller I have won't allow it. So my quest to figure out what to do began. The good thing about this adapter is that it comes with more mounting screws than B&H's equivalent product. The only disappointment might be that a competitor's product includes a set screw. I…

Not the cheapest but definitely built for the heaviest applications!

Bought a pair of these Smallrig Cold Shoes from Revain as well as some much cheaper Cold Shoes and a pair of more expensive Cold Shoes to attach a lot of accessories to my DSLR and 15mm camcorder. drilling systems. Chosen specifically for their higher performance design, these units served as a base for mounting heavier 9" HDMI monitors. While the locking screws prevent the accessory from accidentally sliding forward/backward (depending on your setup), I didn't find them really necessary .like…

When you listen to SMALLRIG you just know you're getting quality

I'm just getting into video and as you do you'll find that you need to upgrade your camera. When you add accessories to your camera, you need to add and connect various devices to maximize its functionality. To do this, you will most likely need a cage. I bought 2 cages last month and have been hooked ever since. These cages allow you to add your accessories, but you also need a way to attach them. That's where these cold shoe attachments come in. They allow you to move and install cold shoe…

Like, like, not really.

No instructions for use. That shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know what the smaller screws are for. There are no threads on the hot shoe or camera frame to screw them into. The Cold Shoe has no bevel. So if your flash or mic has pins on the bottom, you will need to push them in first before they will fit in the cold shoe. Due to the extra screw holes, these pins can cause the flash/mic to get stuck on the mount and you risk damaging the flash/mic to remove it. I have to use plastic cold…

Pros
  • Arrows on the cold shoe indicate the installation direction of the accessory.
Cons
  • socket required.

It really fits! Works well

I bought a similar product from B&H but it was too tight and didn't fit my hot shoe device. The purpose was to attach this adapter to my L-Bracket on my SLR to mount a hot shoe based remote control. I originally had a remote connected to a strobe control box, but the new strobe controller I have won't allow it. So my quest to figure out what to do began. The good thing about this adapter is that it comes with more mounting screws than B&H's equivalent product. The only disappointment might be…
