Best cage for A7RII without spending $400

I wish there were more holes in the bottom for extra stability but this cage worked VERY well for me. I love it. Perfect fit for my A7RII. There are no problems with ergonomics at all.

Pros
  • Pro video accessory
Cons
  • Expensive

Good quality cage. on the subject of Camera & Photo

The cage is very well made and very stable, I don't mind the weight and the handle that comes with it, it's very easy to carry! Also, the cage features a cold shoe mount on the right side and on the handle itself. The only thing I don't like is that some of the buttons on the right side are hard to press, but that doesn't really bother me.

Pros
  • Camera & Photo
Cons
  • I have no bad feelings about it, everything is fine

The camera is not fixed in the cage

I must have received a broken one or something as this cage doesn't fit my A7Sii at all. Cages are inherently meant to provide a snug fit for the camera you put in them and I figured a perfect fit for this case would be perfect. However, when I installed the cage on my A7Sii, the bottom plate was bent at an odd angle, and when I tightened the bottom screw, the camera moved away from the cage. In addition, the fixing screw has a smooth part. It is unthreaded and the thread ends too early, making

Pros
  • PERFECT PROTECTION
Cons
  • Needs a socket

The cage is just great for the price.

This cage is excellent for the price. I'll start with the cons: There's really only two cons for me, and those are picky given the insanely low price compared to say Tilta or Wooden Camera Cage. First, the C1 and C2 buttons are very difficult to access. This is a bummer because I use both buttons regularly. I might not notice this, however, due to Sony's excellent button layout, and well, it's made out of ONE piece of metal. Every day I sacrifice a few unnecessary buttons for uncompromising…

Pros
  • CAGE KIT
Cons
  • Clarity

Loose cage slips but cannot release HDMI lock

I have been using this cage for a year now. My absolute favorite part is the HDMI blocking, I can't even imagine how this port would have lasted so long without it. One time in particular my DJI Ronin went nuts and did a HUGE 180 degree spin and the motor actually got stuck due to a loose HDMI cable. Absolutely no damage to the port, so kudos for this design. What I don't like the most is that it only has one point of contact with the camera. Unlike other Smallrig cages that have a 1/4 floor…

Pros
  • HDMI CABLE LOCK
Cons
  • Slightly torn
