SMALLRIG Super Camera Monitor Light 2058 Review

I use them to attach lights and other equipment to the black iron pipes in my setup. These little guys are so useful, so well made and so strong that I just can't say enough about them. Perfect for flashlights, even some of the heavy ones I have. The small clip and easy-grip pad work every time, never let go or slip off, easy to use. Get them if you're reading this, they just work. Works as described. I use one on my 5.5" external camera monitor and attach it to a PVC pipe that I have (homemade). The clamping pressure is very good. I had an old iPad music holder but added 1/4"20. From here I screwed the holder onto this clamp and it works amazing. It supports the full weight of the 2nd gen iPad. I have an iPad and the clamp is horizontal. Overall I would recommend this product. I own over 4.

I expect these to last as long as the more expensive and slightly cooler Manfrotto Nano clamps I've bought before. They cost about $7.50 each, while the Manfrotto Nano costs about $37.00 each. I'll be giving up the kip grip on the Manfrotto and instead saving nearly $30 on each small rig. In other words, I can buy 5 Small Rig Clips for the price of 1 Manfrotto Nano Clip. It's no big deal because these small rig clips excel in quality.

This clamp set has many more uses than just mounting a camera monitor. I was looking for a solution similar to these clamps to stabilize one of the components of my astrophotography tripod. These clamps allow me to continue using my tripod without having to buy a new expensive heavy-duty tripod. I already see many other places where I will use these clips with my action camera. The processing quality is excellent.

I needed a clip for wireless lavalier microphone receivers. I accidentally ordered without a hot shoe adapter. After some searching I found these clamps. They turned out a lot better than I expected. They are solidly built and hold up. I have a grow tent where I grow pepperoni before the frost comes and needed the best solution for my fan situation. Of the three different similar brands I currently own, these are the best. The fit and finish is well above the competition. You can usually even tell this by examining product photos closely. While the other two have rubber cheek pads that are double-sided glued (and slide if tightened enough), they are molded with pins that push into matching holes machined into the cheeks. No movement. Others have hinge pins that are loose and sloppy. They're made to much tighter tolerances, and you can feel
