Not just for shelves!

I bought it to fold a whiteboard. The liner stuck well to the cardboard. I used a small book to smooth down the liner and a razor blade to trim the excess liner off the board. The results were amazing and I couldn't be happier!

  • Weight
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Do a trial run first, and then it will be great!

I know some people have commented that the adhesion doesn't work well and I don't know what surfaces they've tried sticking it to, but it worked great on my wooden shelves ! I'm so happy with how my kitchen cabinet shelves look now! That's a huge improvement! Boy was it hard to put on at first but once I went I figured it out. I definitely recommend doing a practice loop first and trying different methods to get it laying flat. You'll get it!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Xlint product is the best in storage and organization

I am very happy with this product and would buy again if it needs to be re-used and/or if you accidentally re-fold it. This is very forgiving of bad placements. Best value for money: It has the most material of any equivalent reel I've found. I have used it to line the shelves in my kitchen, laying it over both painted surfaces and/or old shelf paper. I used a damp sponge to wipe down the surfaces before putting the paper on.

But I like the design.

I like the design but it doesn't fit on the shelf like it should. While renovating a bathroom I found this fun black/grey/white hexagon pattern that is fun to replace the old contact paper on drawers and shelves. If you wrap it around the shelves, the bottom of the shelf will start to peel off. Fits well in drawers and shelves. Find a way to hold it together or use a different glue/tape so it doesn't fall off since it's already purchased and aligned. It was very easy to cut out with a graphic…

Not the best but mine definitely won't work

Fantastic value for the quantity received. However, I had problems with the product sticking to natural, unpainted wood. I leveled the back of the shelf and had to push hard and push hard to get it to stick. However, I also covered the imitation wood countertop and it stuck very well. I had no problems with finished wood. I also bought "ocean deco" color. I thought the pattern and colors were a little bolder than what I received. From afar, the pattern blends together and looks more like mint…

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • No instructions

Nice but not easy to use

I needed shelf paper to cover some freshly cut wooden shelves (not sanded, unstained or stained). I was looking for an easy and inexpensive way to prep shelves for my pantry. This paper worked well enough. I suspect they don't make the shelf paper as sticky as they used to, ostensibly to make it easier to apply. But I found the opposite. It was more difficult to apply than the old-fashioned look. This paper is also much thinner than before. And it's literally impossible to get rid of blisters…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Doesn't stick very well.

I ordered the Midnight Marble and it was great at first, but as I started unrolling it I noticed there were a few small scraps of paper missing from the top edge and there was also a bit of sticky glue, stuck between two layers of a roll and has ruined the part of the paper it was in. So no big deal. I cleaned the surface before gluing, but the paper doesn't stick very well. Even now, a day later, it's still very malleable. Not to mention that I wrapped the paper around the edge of the table…

Very good overall, ideal for storage and organization

Overall I find this to be very attractive shelf paper. The mesh on the back is very comfortable, but the five rolls I received had the edges torn, so the 1/2 inch mesh didn't always work evenly. In these cases I just had to trim it wider and then clean the edge with a razor. That's probably how our cabinets and drawers work, but a 20 or 24 inch roll would be much more useful as I have five rolls that are 5 to 6.5 inches wide. I wish the paper was a hair thicker. It's so thin that when a grain…

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Crumpled

I bought two different contact papers to use for a craft I was working on. Both papers were black. This one was solid black while the other had a silk embossed pattern. I wanted to use paper to cover a small cardboard box. One worked great, the other, this one, didn't. Pros: • Inexpensive • Easy to cut • Very easy to remove Cons: • Won't stick to cardboard. Sticky note sticks better. After two failures I finally had to glue it • Very easy to scratch. The slightest touch with a polishing tool…
