Good value for money, HomeKit ready to use

These 'Refoss' brand colored bulbs work well, at a lower price point than Philips Hue (which I also have, which require a Philips Hue hub and the bulbs are Β£5!) and Wyze Bulb Color ( which are not suitable for Apple). I put the brand in quotes because it's actually a Meross product and I've used the Meross app to add these bulbs to my smart home system (I've had great results so far with the Meross brand with their others products). Although slightly brighter than a $50 Philips Hue Color bulb…

Pros
  • Lighting customization: The smart light bulb supports a wide range of color combinations. This dimmable smart lightbulb also has a wide color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K. Create the perfect light scene with color, dim the light to the desired brightness.
Cons
  • Only available in white

The same great smart bulb from Meross, now with Apple Homekit

I've been a fan of Meross Smart products for a while and already have a couple of non-Homekit smart bulbs that work really well. This lamp is easy to set up and use. The Apple Homekit code is printed on the side of the lamp base and also on a small insert included in the box. This means that if you installed that bulb in a fixture that wasn't easily accessible and had to set up the bulb again (maybe you changed your router, etc.), you didn't need to access the bulb. to read the code. In my case

Do not buy if you are using Wi-Fi mesh system

Compared to Philips Hue bulbs, these bulbs looked like a bargain. I had high hopes for this product but my hopes were quickly dashed as I couldn't get it to connect to my wifi. Here's the story. I have a mesh WiFi system at home. That's great. I love it. However, mesh Wi-Fi systems use the same SSID for both 2.4 GHz channels and 5 GHz channels. Usually it doesn't matter much. The devices are smart enough to connect to any radio station with the best signal and join the network. The problem with
