Doesn't stay connected to HomeKit

I've repeated the pairing process several times, deleting the HomeKit cleaner and adding it again only to see "No Response" for a moment. At first it successfully adds the device and shows up in the home app, but every time I do that it loses connection. It can still be controlled via the app, but the advertised HomeKit connection just doesn't work.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add

I love this air purifier and it works great with Apple HomeKit.

Purchased on sale and became a bargain. Smartmi is ready to go right out of the box. Just plug in the power adapter and turn it on. It was very easy to use and the iOS app was very easy to pair with the air purifier. It's very quiet in Auto mode, and it's still very quiet even on the highest setting. It has a very premium look and feel, and the leather strap is really practical. Sometimes I use it in my living room and sometimes I bring it to my bedroom. This is my weekly update. I will update…

Smart Mi Replacement

Smart Mi is very kind and sent me a replacement as the first one arrived damaged (problem: it makes a lot of noise even in quiet mode). The replacement works great and is pretty quiet. You can still hear a very faint noise if you are too close to the air purifier. But this time I don't mind. However, I'm having a problem connecting the device to the mobile app on my phone.————————————— First: noise when it makes that annoying noise even when it's in sleep mode and in auto mode is mode. It's…

Smart, affordable and efficient.

This is the only smart air purifier on the US market that is fully HomeKit compatible and it's a great device, especially at the price point available on the market. So far I haven't been able to connect it to my Google Assistant or Alexa, but the HomeKit integration has been the easiest smart device setup I've ever had. As far as the basics go, an air purifier does a very good job of cleaning the air in a room. fast and quiet. It can get noisy if there's smoke or pollutants in the air, but…

Great air purifier, but maybe not that smart

Initial installation in Homekit was uneventful. P1 (at low speed) is almost inaudible and works well. First, I connected via the Smartmi app, turned off the LOUD beeping sound that attacks my ears every time I change settings on the device, and turned off the display so it doesn't light up my bedroom at night. updated the firmware (a small issue that required some fiddling). A few days everything was fine. I then unplugged P1 to take it to another room. Oops. He fainted. I struggled to get it…

  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Is embarrassing

Don't let bad reviews stop you

Honestly, people hate this. It's definitely a copy of Mokulene, but it has everything you need at an affordable price. You're definitely not paying that $300 mark, but it's just as good, if not as effective. I like that I can see the pollen count and PM count. It's nice that I can control it from my phone and even adjust the fan speed after the SMALLEST movement. Not sure why people hate it, maybe because the filter causes traction? I bought it at a discount for 130, so maybe that's why I think

HomeKit Installation Guide - Decent filter, junk HomeKit implementation

As a set and forget filter, this Smartmi air purifier works well. Place it in a central spot in the room and turn on the "automatic" mode and it will increase and decrease according to the detected changes in air purity. When you're cooking something as simple as pancakes in the next room, the fan ramps up its power and starts cleaning the air until it's clean, while remaining quieter than any of our units. Now, the bad news is that the filter only has a 2.4GHz WiFi radio. So if you're in a…

Quality product, great integration with HomeKit but app stutters

My review relates more to the technical implementation of this product. It's of very high quality and the price can't be beat for a product in the same category with this kind of integration, although the accompanying app leaves a lot to be desired. Setting up HomeKit was effortless. The code is on a sticker next to the power cord connector. Scan it and the device will take some time to do its thing. I have Google Nest Wi-Fi on both 5GHz and 2.4GHz with the same SSID and haven't had any…
