I was afraid my HP printer would refuse to change toner - an error message was generated, but I fiddled with the controls and to my relief it started printing. Print quality isn't as good as a genuine HP sponsored product (color is worse, less clear than black ink), but since I print standard documents and very little detailed graphics, this suits me. The price is a bit cheaper than the actual HP product, so I will continue to buy these as long as they work without problems.

I think it can be said that the quality of the prints is different. They feel a little less fully fused onto the page than the original toner, but definitely not enough to be a concern, especially given the price difference. We received the review cartridges some time ago and ended up getting frustrated waiting for the HP cartridge to run out. I have an HP Deskjet Pro 118dw laser printer. I had to buy a new cartridge. I could refill my starter cartridge but thought the new one was a higher capacity so I thought I might give it a try. The cartridge came with installation instructions and was very easy to install in my HP MFP M148dw laser printer. The device booted and indicated that a non-HP cartridge was installed. Doesn't seem to matter though as the printer works perfectly and the print quality is the same as HP inks. Time will tell how long the cartridge lasts, but so far we haven't had any problems.

Finding a replacement cartridge can be a daunting task. SMATOMNI cartridges work well with my HP M118 printer, but they come with limited documentation and support. In fact, the documentation he had was inaccurate in that it asked for the orange ends to be removed from the cartridge, but the design of the cartridge had changed and the cap ran the full length of the cartridge, which was confusing. So far the cartridge is working well, has printed about 100 pages so far.
