Description is wrong.

Good socks. However, this is NOT a PhD Outdoor as described. It's actually a PhD Run style that's a lot thinner than the Outdoor series. You need to update the name.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Crumpled

NO OUTDOOR socks! for men

These socks seem like a great option for runners. However, they do not correspond to the description of this sock, which is an OUTDOOR sock with more cushioning, so I bought them. I sent them back as they weren't the product I needed.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Weight

Great socks and brand

I bought these socks for cycling and they work very well. They were a bit thicker than the same brand cycling socks but not to the point where they didn't work for what I needed. Quality and fit are exceptional.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Compatibility

Prevention of corns - socks

Men's XL for men's shoes 12-15 sizes. When you open the packaging they seem to be too small, but they fit 12-15 feet. My new shoes caused blisters so I ordered them to avoid blisters. No blisters since wearing these socks!

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are nuances

The unisex sizing for these socks is the same as women's size

unisex usually = men's size. I wear size 11 women's shoes (same length as men's 9 1/2). The size chart said to buy "big" and I didn't believe it. I bought a "Medium" and had to exchange it for a "Large". Fits me"big". love socks; I'm glad I was able to return without any problems.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Some cons

Good quality socks on socks

I'm close to the upper size range 9-12 for these socks. It's a pretty tight fit. Maybe the sock should fit the smaller foot size. These are good socks to wear all year round. I buy this type for running but wear it regularly. I have another pair of this brand that I like a lot better; I don't know if this is a larger size but it fits better and I prefer "ankle high" to "low cut".

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Mislabelled product on socks and hosiery

These are not the same socks. This is PhD Run Ultra Light. No pillow. Found them on the official Smartwool website upon receipt. The packaging is deceptive. They fit and feel the same as the PhD Run Ultra Light Micro socks I bought at the same time. If that's what you want, fine, I just want to shed some light on the fact that they're mislabeled. They are a little small as other reviews say. I'm a size 9.5 so that's not a problem for me, but I could be at the top of the sizing guild.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Expensive

Great socks, great brand

I have been a Smartwool customer for a while now and the socks have met all my expectations. I bought these to use as cycling socks as the selection of this type of sock at Revain is poor. The fit is great, the durability has been good in the short time I've had them, and they're exceptionally thin, which is important to me. They are a quarter sock size which was slightly larger than I was looking for but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I have used them for road biking and spinning and have…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
