While the fabric seemed durable, it was not very comfortable compared to other outdoor clothing options. As a result of using this product, i found that it did not provide enough warmth for long hikes. I bought this skirt to wear cross country skiing because my thighs are cold. I am very happy. I can wear it for skateboarding or classic skiing and didn't have to adjust the bottom zip to be comfortable. (when I sit) it usually stays in place. I like being able to open it up an inch or two at the top when I have thicker layers underneath and it won't open.
