I love them. They are also great for protecting a flat sheet of glass. What I like best is that they are very flexible. You can easily wrap them around yourself. The last ones I had were so thick I couldn't grab a thing. Also, keep one in the microwave to keep pots and glasses from rattling when set up. Ordered a second set today.

In our experience, many silicone pads are quite thin and therefore do not insulate the underlying wood surface, which can cause heat damage to the underlying wood surface. These silicone trivets are great for protecting our wooden tables from heat damage from hot pots/pans, especially pans that stay hot for a long time like cast iron and enamel cookware. We will order more of these.

I have some coasters that are showing their age and need to be replaced. I found them and after reading a few reviews I decided they were worth trying. They work great! I really like the size options. They don't slide, which I like to keep pots and pans from sliding around on the table. They are also good at retaining heat from pots and pans. My table and countertops feel a little warm, which isn't a problem. I'll go back and get the bigger ones for my baking sheets!
