Enhance Off-Roading Performance with Smittybilt Winch Plate for TJ/YJ/LJ Aftermarket Bumpers Review

This is a very strong winch plate. As I said in the title, this is mislabeled. This part is for standard/OEM Jeep TJ/YJ bumpers, not aftermarket. #2804 is for the aftermarket. Warning: Easy installation for experienced folks like me, but if you're new to working with your Jeep the instructions aren't great for TJs and awful for YJs so I've deducted a star. He's doing his job.

The panel and rim of the box were cut during shipping. The hardware may have been dropped or never added, who knows. There are also some scratches on the edges from shipping. I'll try to get it working. This uses the front bolt holes where the standard stabilizer bar sits, angling it or the stabilizer mount. It's possible the missing parts had parts to align, but I'll add shims under the plate so the stabilizer bracket can be underneath and both are flush.

Winch plate is great and fits perfectly. Very durable and I have no doubt it will withstand anything I throw at it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that some gear was missing from the gear bag. I was still able to install the winch and plate, but I had to use washers instead of the 1/4" washers that should have been included. proper 1/4" spacers.

I added this to my Smittybilt Gen1 SRC front bumper that is on my '04 TJ. The plate itself is easy to install with an impact wrench. I already have four screws in used the bumper and only two of the new hardware that came in the rearmost screw hole.I followed the others and installed the winch on the plate before installing it.It was very easy as a one man job.The plate is Heavy Duty and Twin ok with my bumper and of course a Smittybilt X2O 10k winch.
