Description of Smooth Rebound Platinum Silicone Moldmaking

*Packaging may vary* Easy-to-use platinum-cure silicone rubbers which self-thicken for making brush-on molds of almost any mode. Rebound rubber can be applied with a brush or spatula to vertical surfaces without sagging and will cure with negligible shrinkage to a flexible rubber. Advantages Over Urethane Brush-On Rubber: (a) Rebound will not stick to most surfaces, so surface preparation is minimal, (b) Two liquids that mix easily together, (c) stands up better to production casting of resins and low temperature melt metal alloys and (d) has a long library life. Will not work with modeling clays containing sulfur under any circumstances.

I love this stuff -

Made a mold for some figures. So easy to use. Make sure you have thickening drops, cheap disposable brushes, hard stirrers, paper or plastic cups, gloves, and a countertop cover. Do you need external form support - watch the video. It's really easy to mix 50/50. There really is no smoke. It's messy, but that's to be expected. It seemed like a difficult process, but it took longer. At least an hour between shifts. taken directly from my original. I couldn't find a spray so I used some petroleum…

You sent the wrong item.

Instead I received a test kit of Mold Star 15 labeled Rebound 25. Very glad I noticed the wrong label before opening the bottles for the mold I was trying to make . Liquid silicone would be an absolute disaster for what I needed. Sent back for a replacement with the correct silicone. The return didn't bother me too much but I only gave 2 stars for the inconvenience because for the SECOND TIME in a row they screwed up my Smooth-On order. Feedback on the material itself as I use it regularly…

Easy to use, works further than I thought.

I need about 50 foam skulls. I realized that buying is much less economical than manufacturing. So I used a set of Rebound 25's to make a silicone mold of a simple skull. I could probably use 3/4 of the set instead of all, but this was my first time making a mold. I honestly asked if one set would be enough for me and was pleasantly surprised. I found the product to mix and spread easily. I used thickener for all layers after the first. Then I made a two-component plaster shell for it from the…
