My scanner needs a longer cable and it fits perfectly --- but the 'head' of the cable doesn't fit snugly into the socket --- the surrounding case where it plugs in is too large to fit near an outlet. So it will not work for its intended purpose. The cable itself seems well made, I've only downgraded the gauge because I don't know. My understanding is that these cables should be standard in size, fit, etc. my printer but not my scanner. So there is something wrong with the cable size.

This cable might be good for connecting a printer, but not for connecting my PC to an external DAC. Pure digital sources were full of clicks and pops that sounded almost like LP hiss and I was willing to blame the new DAC until I read another review here from someone else who had similar audio issues with this cable. I bought a different brand of cable and the noise is gone. Do you need a cable like this and expect quiet sound? Buy another brand.

I received this 25ft USB AB cable because I wanted to rip my vinyl albums to MP3, at least the ones that aren't available on CD or MP3 yet. Why do I need such a long cable? Because the player is across the room from where I'm sitting with my laptop. That's easy. Sending audio over USB has very low bandwidth. The bandwidth of USB 2 is hundreds or even thousands of times greater than the bandwidth required for very high quality audio sampling rates. For that reason, I'm not particularly concerned

I give many 5 stars and I would give 5 stars but it does not match the device I received it for. I got it to fit my HP printer but the cover around the part of the cable that goes into the printer is too big to fit the recessed area of the connector even though it claims to be HP . Excellent printer cable. I gave 2 stars because it stopped working after 2 months. Turns out it was plugged into the wrong place in the printer.
