I love this carrier! It says it holds 24 cupcakes but I have 30! I bought 30 cupcakes from Sam and they come in plastic trays of 15 each. If you remove the white support sheet and carefully slide in the baking sheet. Boom! All 30 cupcakes embedded! A few more notes: The way the parts attach to each other seems pretty unreliable, so don't even think about carrying it by the handle. I love the design that allows you to carry decorated cookies but they are fragile and arrived broken. That doesn't bode well for the future. They sent a replacement that wasn't broken but I'm not too hopeful of how long it will last. I bought this cupcake carrier and was very happy to use it the night it arrived! I made 2 dozen cupcakes for the dinner I attended and placed them in my new box, all beautifully decorated. I laid them out on a flat surface behind my seat and was very shocked when I got to my destination to find that each cupcake was at least turned on its side and rolled through the shipping box, if not completely upside down. I did a lot of research before buying a cupcake or decorated cookie carrier. I only needed two levels, but wanted to be able to expand. I wanted the inserts to be white because the pink and blue tones could easily clash with whatever cupcake or cookie I was storing. So I really like my carrier. It is perfect for storing cupcakes or square cakes. I love the fact that I can take the lid off and remove a layer if I just want to carry 12 cupcakes or a cake. The lips that the cupcakes sit in are very small so it's not great if you want to put something in the trunk or on the bottom of the cupcake car as they're likely to slide around everywhere.
