Type of review

I bought one for home and connected to a DID SIP provider. (Callcentric) Setup was relatively easy and the phone works well. Some of the SNOM firmware updates hit or miss. In addition, these phones have many features that are supported by the SIP provider. If you already have a SIP telephony server, be sure to check the feature and codec compatibility with the call server and how it affects your current network bandwidth usage. We deployed 50-60 with Asterisk. They're not perfect, but they're pretty decent compared to other IP phones. Will there be firmware issues and minor glitches? Yes. Any time a product has the same number of configuration options and features as these devices, it's in constant flux. I don't care, but that's the current state of the art we live in. Very buggy VoIP

I have ordered 70 of these phones as part of my company's Switchvox deployment. Pros: These phones look good and show promise. I love the handset's magnetic switch, and the built-in GigE is a great feature for the price. Cons: Lots of problems. The speakerphone's echo cancellation just doesn't work. I now have this problem on every phone in the company. If the speaker volume exceeds about 50%, the other party will hear their own voice as an echo. Sometimes turning the volume down doesn't help…
