Description of SODIUM LACTATE Natural Preservative Organic

SOAPEAUTY PREMIUM SODIUM LACTATE: Our Sodium Lactate is used in bath products and has many beneficial aspects to its use. It is a natural moisturizer, humectant (bringing moisture to itself), and pH regulator. Sodium Lactate is used in a variety of bath products such as soaps, lotions, and shampoos. POPULAR CHOICE FOR SOAP MAKING: Sodium Lactate is a popular choice for making soap because it produces a harder bar of soap that lasts longer and it produces a bigger yield with faster cure times. It is also a natural humectant, providing moisture. SUBSTITUTE FOR GLYCERIN IN SOAP MAKING: Sodium Lactate is a superior humectant moisturizer with over twice the water holding ability than Glycerin. It replenishes moisture by attracting and retaining water within the skin, preventing it from becoming dehydrated, dry and flaky. GREAT FOR LOTIONS: Sodium lactate can also be used in lotions to create a thicker, more hydrating product. Sodium lactate is used to create a creamier texture. The humectant properties of sodium lactate keeps skin moisturized longer. SATISFACTION / QUALITY GUARANTEED: Soapeauty supplies bulk sodium lactate to some of the nation’s largest brands and we stand behind every product we sell.

On the fence: Strength

Didn't work for my recipe 1 teaspoon per pound of oil. Frustrated, I reverted to pink salt, which is cheaper and perfectly sets my soap overnight. You can try a smaller batch to avoid wasting the product.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Some problems

Not sure about Bases and Smelters yet

I haven't read the reviews but would like to. The bottle arrived safe and sound, love how they took care of the triple packaging but the bottle was half full. Not sure if it was put in the wrong bottle but was disappointed to see it.

Pros
  • Bases and Smelters
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Best Organic Soap In Soapmaking

If you value the quality of your soap and use organic ingredients, it makes sense to also use organic sodium lactate. It is a good ingredient for soap making. I've been making soap for several years and for me quality ingredients are key.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Damaged

The package was terrible!

The double envelope was full of liquid which spilled onto my counter, floor and brand new sneakers. This created a sticky mess that was difficult to remove from my hardwood floor, and my new shoes are now stained. As soon as I managed to get the bottle out of the packaging, the bottle was half empty.

  • Soap Making
Cons
