Handy size: Salts

That was exactly what I was looking for. I use it as a disinfectant for winemaking equipment. With a £1 pack I don't have to buy it as often which is handy and it's still not too much.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Band

Use it as a preservative.

MUCH more than i will ever use in my life. I add 1/8 teaspoon lime juice and add it to guacamole. It stays green and fresh for two days! sulfate allergy.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things

It does what sodium metabisulfite is supposed to do.

I needed this for gold regeneration and it does exactly what it's supposed to do in HCL and H2O2. When I run out, I buy more. It dissolves very well, which can be a problem with coarser or older types of this compound.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty good

An excellent deoxidizer for home made beer in kegs.

Makes an excellent deoxidizer for home brews, especially cloudy New England-style IPAs. It used 1/3 gram when filling the keg and really improved the overall stability compared to previous batches. After 3 weeks, neither the color nor the taste has changed. The only downside was that I had to let it cool (age) an additional 8 days until the sulfur smell was gone, but it was worth it in the end.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some problems

Great for drying fruit for crafting

I initially looked for sodium bisulfite because I own a botanical shop and sell dried orange and apple slices for crafting purposes (not for consumption) With bisulfite I've had two full orange slices Days and sometimes more to dry, and apples a day. I chose this product, Sodium Metabisulfite, and am so glad I did. My fruit pieces dry twice as fast and are drier, which is great for resale. Orange slices only take 24 hours or less and dry that well, and oranges are one of the most difficult…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared
