Simple and effective.

What I liked most about this bottle opener was the simplicity of its design. In short it works as it should, every time you open a bottle it falls straight into the basket, simple but functional. But I wouldn't mount this outside as I can see it getting wet and probably ruining it.

The metal knife broke out of the wooden base the first time it was used!

Just fitted this to my kitchen door frame, it attaches very securely with the screws provided. Went to taste and opened a bottle of seltzer. Well, I tried to open a bottle of seltzer. Instead, he ripped the piece of metal that actually opens the bottle out of the bottle-shaped piece of wood. This part comes pre-assembled from the factory, so I'm not mistaken. I didn't spin it like crazy or anything either. Luckily, they included a couple of extra baseplate mounting screws that are a lot longerโ€ฆ

Perfect Bar Addition

This is a great addition to our patio bar. Only criticism is that the screws that attach the opener to the wooden bottle are very short, which makes sense as the wood is very thin. After sticking this to the wall, I tried to open the bottle and the bottle opener detached right from the bottle's wooden frame. This was a very simple solution - just use longer screws which also better attach the wooden frame to the wall. I really like it and may order another one for future gifts.

RURAL LOOK MAKES A GREAT LOOK

Although most of the reviews were not very good, I really liked the product. Most reviews talk about how poorly made it was, but I think they got a bad batch. I took a risk and ordered anyway. I have a brown house so I installed it in the back and it looks good. Beautifully simple and rustic. The bottle opener itself had chipped paint, as did some of the other customers' photos, but whatever. I hope they improve those who are not so good but generally satisfied. Welcome back
