We had this for an 11 year old a few weeks ago. A little hesitant after reading the negative reviews but it was great for us. I even sit on it. For €60 I think it's a good deal. You need to fluff it up regularly. We do it at night and in the morning it's full again. The color was the right anthracite. My son doesn't even sit on a long comfortable sofa anymore. Would buy again. Yes, the packaging is tight and we carefully cut off the plastic wrap, but after it came out everything was fine.

Bought 2, shipped in individual heavy duty boxes (approx 21lb). It is not difficult to open the outer sleeve they were sent in (see picture). The plastic bag they were in got stuck in the zipper. They "split" quite easily so they didn't "breathe" until day one and we love them, big. It's easy to flip them over a bit to loosen them up. There is a slight odor/gas release from the inner fill. It's not much, and it probably won't be there tomorrow either. The case makes a sturdy impression.
