The paste is a bit thick or viscous, making it difficult to apply. After applying a little heat, it became easier to use. For the money this is a good deal that gets the job done.

They call it "paste" flux. It's not pasta. It's more like wax. You will not apply this material to the workpiece in any way. All you can do is stick the tip of a cleaning iron into it.

This is a lot of flux for little money. I was great when it came to soldering. I just bought a set of cheap application brushes and that's all I need. It is very sticky and can be easily cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.

I couldn't find any older rosin based soldering flux that was brown and cleaned solder joints very well. It's trash in my opinion because it doesn't clean as well as the old flux and I want to toss it in the trash!

Purchase for occasional soldering at work. New flux paste and solder were ordered. Will not work. I brought a 15 year old flux paste I had at home and it matched the new solder perfectly. The problem was with the new thread. I've encountered the same problem as others with 1 star reviews of the solder repelling as if no flux was used. Useless.

Although there are flux syringes, I like these because I feel like I have much more control over how much I use ( although you should never be afraid to use flux). Again, this one doesn't clean, so it won't corrode your connections if you have to leave it because you don't have solder mask yet. I just scraped off a little with a toothpick and either did my best to scrape it off the right spot or just melted it drop by drop with an iron. Worked pretty well!
