Good bang for your buck. Ideal for beginners.

I think it's a great product for beginners considering the price. You can't expect top quality when you buy it, but it's good for what you pay and good for learning. I'd say hints are a weak point, but they're still good for a few good causes. All the included tools really help. I practiced with it on a game console board and learned a lot. I hope to upgrade to a better one over time.

Sometimes less is more

The soldering iron lacked a temperature control. I looked for it in the case (included) thinking it might have jumped out during shipping as everything else in the case is rattling, but it wasn't there. The multimeter test leads fell apart as soon as I untangled them. I received a refund and ordered a higher quality, more expensive item. This kit may be good for beginners, but its quality made me wonder how safe/accurate it would be to use.

The quality is good, the soldering iron works perfectly, the multitester too. Very easy to use.

My girlfriend is learning how to solder and troubleshoot small electronics where I found this kit everything seems to be there and I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed, it worked great. The soldering iron heats up exactly to the temperature of the adjustable controller. The kit has everything from soldering to desoldering and cleaning. The multitester works great, very accurate and easy to use. No cons, really good set that I am very happy with the purchase.
