Worked great for about a week but then the sound only worked on one side and when I tried to play any of my tapes there was a sudden noise.

As reported by other reviews, they are not the easiest to use and stop working after about 30 transfers, but they get the job done.

I ordered this hoping to digitize some old recordings. The white noise was so awful I turned on an old Realistic cassette player to see if it was cassette tapes. All the distortion wasn't caused by the tapes, it was caused by this thing. The accompanying software is somewhat useful, but there are better free ones out there.

There was a cassette that was stored for years. Finally found a way to convert to mp3 and now all the songs are in my iTunes account. Easier and cheaper.

This little dynamo comes with an Audacity disc. So if the tape's sound quality isn't the best, I can mix it so that the sound is at least close to the original sound. It's very easy to use!
