Please note that you need to disassemble the pen after use and cap the ink cartridge, otherwise it will leak. I drew some outlines and it cost half the ink! I would not buy them again and can return them.

Bought for cross stitch. All colors tested on Scrap-Aida. They all washed well. Yes the ink comes out more than a regular pen but I would hold it upside down between the marks and then all I had to do was touch the fabric to drip the ink onto the fabric to make the marks. When I'm done with that, I take it out of the pencil case and put the little cap back on. I have already ordered two sets.

While the ink in these pens is water soluble, it does not fade or fade. Instead, it spreads throughout the fabric and is not removed from the fabric by repeated washing. I was hoping to use it for drawing on Aida and the point size is fine for that, but who wants the ink color to bleed and discolor all their hard work? I don't see any advantage for seamstresses either. And if the ink isn't permanent, why use everyone?

I had a fairly physically large cross stitch project to complete and as I arranged the rows on the grid I realized my first column was only 0 - 8, not 0-10. When I washed it in the washing machine it wouldn't come out. And it's been in the sink for two hours and it's still not completely detached from the fabric. I bought these pens for cross stitching. I've been looking for a pen that's more precise than the blue ones you find in the sewing department. This morning I decided to test them out before using them for real work and I'm glad I did.
