This self-heating blanket is a great purchase for furry friends once they get used to it. The thermal layer inside makes a slight rustling noise and initially slips a bit in older cats. Once they decide it's "safe," you can't take them off.

We bought this for our second oldest cat who suffers a lot from arthritis. He seems to be enjoying it a lot but the others do too so we share a little but we argue more if you have more than one cat you get each one in their own way. Great product, works very well. I was very surprised how warm it got. It heats up almost the same as the electric one I have for my senior cat.

I was hoping this product would get at least a little warm as I have a cat who is always cold. Although she lay on it a few times, I noticed that it doesn't heat up. I touched the pillow as soon as my cat got up and I didn't notice any difference in the warmth of this product compared to a standard blanket. Also, my cat was scared at all to climb on it because of the crunching noise. In general, I say you're better off just buying some warm blankets for your kitty.
