Poor quality control leads to major flaws

As two other reviewers noted, the entire stand feels solid. Unfortunately, after a single use, all the important main clamp screws loosened and no longer hold the bike. It's a pity that quality control didn't notice this fatal error. I am returning this stand.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Security

Poorly made screw

It feels solid and I would love it, but I would also really like to be able to use it. The clamp that holds the bike has a nut/bolt that is so poorly machined that it slips off preventing me from using the stand. I hope the seller replies/sends a working part, otherwise you will have to return it. The seller solved this problem well.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish

  • Crumpled

Worth buying. I'm glad I have it.

Simply put this is my first bike stand and I was on a tight budget after buying the bike. It didn't cost too much and fitted well into my limited workspace and it did the job of holding my fat bike just the way I needed it so I could clean and work on it. The only criticism is the frame. not entirely rigid so it can bend and jump with a bike on it if you try to move it with a bike on it. I guess that's what I get for a budget stand, but still I'm not saying it wasn't worth it. It's just not…

Excellent stability when mounted horizontally on the top tube of a bicycle.

Unless you have a bike with traditional frame tubes, this is a very well built stand. I used it on a new mountain bike with a curved top tube and big down tube like a lot of new mountain bikes these days. The clamp is too small for the large down tube. So I clamped it to the seatpost with a parking stand like a few years ago, but the clamp flexed over an inch when clamped with the bike in the horizontal position. Since it is plastic, it will likely break when handling the bike. So I adjusted…

Outstanding quality for the hobbyist.

I really liked. For context, I've been a shop mechanic and race mechanic and have used most professional bike rack models. Unfortunately, a few years ago I sold most of my tools, including two park bike racks that I personally owned. Lately I've just gotten tired of fixing family and friends' bikes without a kickstand and I've started to appreciate kickstands. Shock followed, so I looked for nameless alternatives. This one seemed good so I gave it a try. Ideal! I've used it for three or four…

Good stand for the layman

I buy bikes and then don't use them and had to ask myself why. The answer was that they were too similar to PITA to work with, so I did something about it and bought a bike repair stand. I chose it over the cheaper blue ones because this design has a 360* rotating quick release clamp on the top tube rather than just a knob that slips under the weight load. So far, so good. The main clamp is incredibly easy to use and doesn't tie up exposed cables on the bike's top tube, which is an issue. It…

Very cool, worth the price. must get.

I really like the quality of this stand. Depending on how you load your bike, it may be unstable on grass or uneven ground. Can be folded on the go, very convenient. I use it to service or wash my bikes. The mechanisms are very well put together. This was hard to tell when buying online, but after receiving it I wasn't disappointed at all. Exceeded expectations and was a very good price. I recommend everyone who has a bike to buy it. Pays for itself after one or two uses for home bike…

Excellent bike stand

This is the first and only bike stand I have ever bought. I was nervous because there was only one review and I don't usually buy anything without a good reputation. However, I looked at a few stands and the picture of this stand showed that the U-shaped prongs on the clamp holding the bike looked well engaged, which looked fairly secure. It is very safe and easy to use. It is mainly made of metal/aluminum and is very durable. I've used it on 3 different mountain bikes and it works great. It…

Steel components are badly needed

Now that my family rides bikes and three of their own, I've finally invested in a bike service stand. However, there are many options for the design of the legs and clamps, which makes it difficult to choose. Most important to me is the design of the clamp that allows the bike to rotate easily and securely. The other is the ability to minimize disk space. The SONGMICS USBR04B model has special features:+ 360° rotating head.+ 90° rotating head for compact storage.+ The lever on the back of the…
