Best way to run dual monitors on a Mac with USB-C

Bought this for work. I travel between three offices and have different monitor settings. No problem with this splitter and (2) HDMI to HDMI cables to monitors, which is a must. I like the fact that it's computer powered. Super easy to connect and get started.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Doesn't sound reliable

Every few minutes one of my displays goes blank for a few seconds. This can be any display, but is usually larger (27 inches). I'm not using 4K or higher. Tried different displays but this is definitely the device. Checked with Sonnet Tech for support but couldn't submit a ticket anywhere. for a return.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase

Should have bought this first

I bought a 2018 15" MacBook Pro to keep my aging iMac (which I used in the office) and my old 13" Macbook Pro (which I travel frequently used) to replace ). The key to replacing two computers with one was the ability to have three 27-inch 2K monitors in the office. I found that while the 2018 MacBook Pro did its job reasonably well, reliable TB3 display adapters were hard to come by at a reasonable price. This adapter just works, unlike the other two I've tried (the adapters were from otherโ€ฆ

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR MAC WITH APPLE M1 CHIP!

I was trying to use an adapter to connect external monitors (2K + 4K) to Mac mini with M1. But THIS ADAPTER DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. Also, I can't see the text clearly on the monitor. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Do you see attached pictures. I don't think this will work on every Mac with an M1 chip.

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
  • poorly thought out

After the terrible update to Apple OS 10.13.4.

After the horrible update of Apple OS 10.13.4 (and this company's ignorance and uninterest in fixing their crashes), I, like thousands of others, lost Display Link to run multiple monitors. Sonnet Thunderbolt is a flawless alternative that has beautifully restored performance. The device came very quickly, connects and works perfectly.

Pros
  • Highest Score for Support and Durability from Testers
Cons
  • Unsure

Works great, saved me a lot of money

Does exactly what it's supposed to. Used with Dell XPS 13" (9350) with Windows 10 and TWO Ultra Wide HD monitors in enhanced mode. One monitor in portrait and one in landscape. I'm a software developer so I use all my screens for over 8 hours a day and haven't had any problems with the video adapter. Good quality. It feels solid and is a good weight so it doesn't wobble when you move the cables. Warm, but not overly so. The options Dell offers for dual screens are limited and over $120. I'veโ€ฆ

Died in 3 days - may not be certified by Apple

I bought a new MacBook Pro (2018) dual monitor and ordered this unit from Revain. I fell in love with her immediately as she complemented my new system perfectly. It lasted 3 days and then suddenly and completely stopped working. Tried new cables - no luck. I've tried four Thunderbolt 3 ports, all four with no success. Every time I connect, I get a "Can't use Thunderbolt accessory" error on my Mac. I'm sending it back. It worked so well for 3 days I was tempted to order another one as this oneโ€ฆ
