Incredible: Bookshelf Stereos

I'm So In Love! One of the main reasons for buying it was the remote control. I've always had Sonys and am very happy with them. My last stereo was an Ihome and the remote control was ridiculous. In fact, I had to point directly at the device and be about a foot away from it, and only then did it sometimes work. I don't know how this remote passed the test. I also listen to relaxing music at night and my bed faces the bedroom so I had to get up to turn it on and I couldn't even change songs…

Come on Sony check out the details

My old Sony clock CD radio finally died (sort of) after 10 years(?) of faithful service, so I started looking for a replacement. One of my requirements for the next machine was the ability to play MP3 discs. There isn't much to choose from among dedicated clock radios - the only Sony model that can have average user reviews. Plan B. Switching to a unit like the CMT-LX20i is a plus as I needed more amplifier power than most clock radios can provide. The Bose and Cambridge models probably…

Sloppy sound on home audio system

When I saw this product and read the reviews I thought I would take a chance and buy it. Although he plays good music, he's terrible when he hits the bass notes. When I started listening, I was satisfied to a certain extent. I listen to my music loud (I like Beethoven's boom boom) and I don't turn it up loud. To be honest I should have known it was advertised as a shelf but I expected it to meet my needs. If I bring it close enough to me (I have it on a caster table) I get closer to the volume…

Pretty good sound for small rooms.

If you meet your expectations in several areas, the Sony CMT-LX20i delivers decent sound in a small space. I bought this to replace an 18 year old shelving system that was showing its age (still had a cassette player and no direct iPod input). Installation was quick and easy. The instructions provided were adequate (although printed on a large single page reminiscent of a gas station road map. For those who can remember such things). The controls on the device and the remote control are…
