Better than average

Almost no broken disks, no errors, no dropouts - 99.5% of problem disks are missing. But if you shoot at 8x or slower. Spring. This is a general rule for all optical discs. They want them to be good, to tune them to a speed to be used and not advertised for profit. Very economical, good buy. Manufactured by Verbatim Inc. for Sony Inc.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Zero

These are NOT SONY DVDs

These DVDs arrived today and at the suggestion of others I used the DVD ID to determine if these DVDs are from SONY. You are not! They are manufactured by RITEK Corporation. It sucks that we all like these corporations and the manipulations there. The first disc I tried to burn had errors.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • So far so good

Can't find anything wrong with it

I've seen reviews of Sony DVD+Rs and I'm not a technical expert. But in the last year I've recorded over 900 movies on about 500-600 discs and so far I've had maybe 3 or 4 bad discs out of the whole batch. As one would say in the field of statistics, this is a pretty decent sample size. And while I usually only shoot classic black and white film with Turner Classic Movies and Fox Movie Channel, the playback image quality is just as superb, no. whether I recorded in SP, LP or EP mode (6 hours)…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Sony Blank DVDs

What can I say? Sony blank DVDs are the best on the market. I got them for a third of what they sell at Best Buy or Microcenter. I would highly recommend them for film, graphic design and photo storage. They were delivered almost overnight even though I checked super saver shipping.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • A bit of trivia

Fake Sony DVDs

Within 4 hours of receiving these blank DVDs we burned 10 useless coasters. As I still have 3 blank Sony DVDs from the last spindle I bought (not from mediasuperstore.com) I compared the ones sent to the last ones left. These last couple of Sony DVDs that I have recorded flawlessly at rated speed. There are significant physical differences in appearance between the ones I returned and the last ones I had from my previous spindle. Sony's Supermediator DVD does not have a translucent and…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Sony DVD+R 100 Spindle

If you are planning to burn a DVD for playback on any standard DVD player (for TV viewing), then please buy this brand! I've always had problems with DVDs from other brands, but Sony has never let me down. Your DVDs seem to have the best chance of working in a variety of DVD players. Because of this, they cost a little more than some other brands. Only use cheap brands if you want to create data DVDs (for backup purposes).

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Without instructions
