Cloudy with chance of rain

These minidiscs are cool on their own because they are completely transparent! Sony minidiscs are the best! No errors or omissions. I will order again!

Pros
  • High quality digital audio
Cons
  • Some flaws

Please do not delete this area!

So far these MDs work great even at half speed. I don't understand why this format was gradually allowed. I still use my MD player as it is very easy to edit.

Pros
  • 80 minute recording
Cons
  • Some minor things

MINI disc alive! on blanks

Glad to find them online and stock up accordingly, one of my favorite formats is almost dead and no blanks. Now I'd rather have them cheaper, but oh well. Although this format is no longer supported by Sony, it is interesting that you can find home players in good condition and quite cheap. Portable recorder models are a bit rarer, especially more expensive models, CD quality or better sound and recording capabilities. What's not to like?

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I wish Sony would bring this amazing technology back for the third time and let the public know how amazing it really is. The editing possibilities are just incredible. You really missed the boat on this one. I'm just glad I got closer to Mini Disc. It wasn't easy finding these discs, but I'm very glad you have them. I dubbed it from tape to MD. Track manipulation, dead space reduction, track numbering, track deletion, track merging, track naming, track splitting. All of this came back to me. I

it's a fantastic entry-level device

As it's a niche recording format and now considered obsolete, it's difficult to find new blank minidiscs; often the price is astronomical because they are so rare. Hell, the only reason I have a home stereo MD recorder is because I found a blank Sony MDS-JE330 deck at Goodwill a few years ago for $12.99. (This is a fantastic entry-level unit, by the way!) So far I've only used Sony 74-Minute Color Collection MDW-74 discs and a couple of TDK discs that I bought in bulk off eBay a while back…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
