I argued for a long time 70-200 with this TC or 70-400 without TC. I decided it was better to have a really good 200mm and a not so good 400mm combo. I'm happy with the solution and when using a tripod this TC works great.
Phenomenal results I've been considering buying a 70-200 zoom at f2.8 or 70-400 at f4-f5.6, unbeatable results AND a 2X converter. Most of the time I need 70-200 and when I'm shooting wildlife I use 2X - it's a win-win for me.
Teleconverter works great. My photos are just as sharp with and without the 70-200G lens. In my experience, there is no loss of quality. This adds a great option to my kit! I have no reservations, recommend it. Of course, as a telephoto lens, stabilizing the camera is important, either with a tripod or with a fast shutter speed.
This compact and lightweight baby. I added it to my 70-200mm G series lens. A few prejudices I had were dispelled almost immediately. They said f-stops needed to be reduced by two by adding this. I thought I would have to configure manually. Not me. When switched on, the lower two f-stops are optionally removed and even with automatic exposure, images are correctly exposed. Great shots with this one behind a G series lens. One nice thing I didn't know is that they come with a pouch that fitsβ¦
