Small light DXer!

Less than I thought. AM FM. mono jack. So-so speakers. Antenna for VHF. Two AA batteries power it. Excellent sensitivity. Excellent selectivity. Excellent reception in AM. A lightweight. Cons: Harsh sound. Some clippings are not corrected by careful tuning. However, if you like DX, here is your portable radio!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Zero

I just wanted to make the little boy happy.

I really liked this little radio. It was a present for a little boy and he loves it. It doesn't come with an ear adapter, but it does have a plug you can use it on. I bought one from the dollar store for $5. It was light green and the boy liked his new radio.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

The perfect little radio.

My wife and I are addicted to the local talk station and I took this for her bath so she could listen to it in the morning showers and such. It's a weak station, but this little gem pulls into clear water. Steam in the shower withstands without problems. Was forever on the original battery. Sony makes quality devices.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Band

Great little radio, but .

I am very happy with this radio. It has a nice smooth sound, not too much high end and is easy to tune into stations. It was a renovated unit and looked brand new. I would give 5 stars but the reviewer couldn't verify the headphone jack, it's not working properly. I like the radio so much that I will leave it as it is.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great little AM/FM portable radio

Bought this while living in England and really liked it. Easily tuned to AM and FM it was really solid and had good reception. Unfortunately, I took it to a semi-public location and someone "found" it before I lost it. I was very surprised when I saw this in Revain. The picture and description looked like something I "lost". And it's identical. Great little radio, compact, portable and powerful. Batteries also last a long time. I love it.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

My NPR station is finally up and running!

I needed a small radio for my office to listen to the news and generally have it for background noise throughout the day. I couldn't connect a specific radio to 2 different radios and decided to try this before giving up. He's got a very long antenna, and he's finally got the transmitter! I should also note that despite using it 8-10 hours a day daily, I still haven't had to change the batteries. This little radio is also loud if you want. Small, light, easy to move if desired.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Great little radio!

I liked it so much that I bought 2 straight away! One is in the bathroom and it's so nice that you don't need an outlet. The other is at work. It's invisible and the batteries lasted over 4 months despite being on for over 8 hours a day/5 days a week. Highly recommend for those of us (40+) who enjoy listening to local radio and getting local news, traffic and weather throughout the day. I have an iPhone, but I don't need to be tied to it. I like regular radio. And the one in the house is good…

Very good tuner and amplifier section, not so good speaker

This was the cheapest radio I bought from the group under $50 to try. Others included Sangean SR-35, Kaito KA210, Sony ICFP26 and Sony's only digital ICF-M260. I'm mostly interested in AM through the speaker. Eneloop batteries were fitted to all radios and all radios were allowed to break in for about 6 hours before I started testing and listening. The break-in period is important as performance has changed somewhat during this time. This radio and the Kaito KA210 were the least pleasant to…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Functionality
