🎧 Sony WMFS111 Portable Cassette Player: Compact and Convenient Audio Playback Review

My teenage daughter opened my husband's suitcase full of cassettes and we spent the money on the only real Walkman, a Sony. She really liked the FM radio dial. Sounds great and made me younger again.

I like listening to my good old cassettes again. You will ask why? Well, many albums never made it onto CD or the iTunes library. Too bad Tower Records went bust. Luckily, they thrive in Tokyo, Japan, where I lived about four years ago. It also looks almost like my old SONY player. :)

This is a good mid-range Walkman. The anti-jog function makes this device good for listening to music while running. The buttons are conveniently arranged for one-handed operation. You get very good sound, but as with all portable cassette players, you are at risk of tape alignment issues. In general, the more expensive the turntable, the more attention is paid to the correct position of the cassette and playback head.
