Works as advertised

Based on all the tests I've seen the Rubicon series perform very well at the RMS rating. I feel like people who burn amps and write bad reviews don't tune them right. Set the gain on an amp too high and it will explode. I like that the auxiliary channel is also stable down to 1 ohm.

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Secret

Sub-channel does not work well for cars and vehicle electronics

Sub-channel does not work from day one. I tested this with known good speakers, cinch and wiring. Nothing goes out of the canal. Luckily I only lost $120 because it was a used item in an open box. Luckily I was able to return to Revane.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

IMO didn't last long enough.

The amplifier worked fine for a while but broke down after 3 years. I have PPI Art Series amps that are still alive after 20 years. This amp was powered by 5.25" single and 6.5" Polk full range speakers and a 12" RF Punch P3 subwoofer - never abused. lol. A little disappointed, but for $192 new, it might be worth buying again for a quick replacement.

Pros
  • Is it worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Sounds great while it worked

I bought this amp based on the many reviews and positive feedback from owners who have had this amp for a while. It sounded great straight away and powered my 4 speakers and subwoofer. The highs, mids and lows sound very good if I let them sink in for a while. The sound was really crisp and clear regardless of the volume. I really liked this amp until one day after 5 1/2 months I started the car and there was no more sound. I also smelled burnt electronics, so I pulled the fuse out of the amp…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor issues
