Go Kart Kill Switch

Fits on my kart in case the kids roll it out or throw it away. After 2 days and sweeping, the engine died immediately, saving the engine. The roll cage saved the children.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expensive

Works as it should Good for parts

My outboard motor had a faulty gas connection after installing a new kill switch. My engine stuck wide open and headed for shore. I had to turn off the engine with the emergency switch. Works perfectly

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Will not fit my Tohatsu TLDI

I have a 50hp Tohatsu TLDI. with a control box on the side console, and that switch doesn't even come close. It also has a connection that is right and one that isn't. A complete waste of money for me.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good replacement for series switch

I used it to replace a broken switch on my boat. It appears to be well built and will hopefully last a few boating seasons. Came with mounting hardware. It was slightly larger than the switch that came with the boat so I had to drill a hole through the old kill switch to make it bigger. I would buy this again without hesitation.

Excellent replacement for

. The genuine Yamaha part costs about $70. This replacement costs less than $20 with a lanyard included. Perfect fit for my 2006 15hp outboard. The device looks just as high quality as the original. It's a little tricky to install, but anyone with a little DIY can do it in under an hour. Before removing the old part, it is recommended to attach the rope to the wires. This will make laying new wires easier.

  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Collapsed immediately. Good for parts

Broke before I could deliver. They brought it, the next day I tried to install it, unscrewed the nut from the top and it fell apart (because the button flew off, the spring cable flew out and the button couldn't be put back). After playing around with this I found that it takes too much pressure for the linkage to disengage. I used it to run after the lawn mower, it came down the hill while I was standing still, it had to tear a hole in my shirt before it let go.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I don't remember

Fits into existing center console hole and works as intended. The unit looks well sealed, the cables are a good length. Has a bullet connector on the white wire for the engine shutdown circuit (mates with Yamaha's standard ignition switch wiring harness), the ground wire is a ring terminal which is not connected to the stock wiring harness but can be connected directly to the nearest battery ground stud if fitted or the Cut off the ring terminal and crimp the new barrel connector to make the…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Interchangeable
