Order a smaller size in my review

They are cute but too big. I ordered my kids 8 and 10 in the size they wear and they are 2 sizes bigger than my size 10 boy who can wear a size 8.

Pros
  • My 14 year old son says they are size L, we fit well and he loves them; he is 5ft 6in and slim.
Cons
  • Hard stuff and they get so wrinkled

It's huge!: my review

They are insanely big. I have a small for my 9 year old and they are a few sizes too big. The lace is decorative, so you can't tighten it either. Such a waste of money.

Pros

  • The belt part is only for optics and doesn't really tighten anything. I was very disappointed as my son is thin.

More than expected

My son is a size over 10 but these 10/12 shorts are probably too big for a size up so they were too big for him. Luckily he has a cousin who can wear shorts this summer and he doesn't mind wearing them next summer.

Top?! - my new rating

Great shorts; Although I felt it my civic duty to the online shopping community to mention that if you are looking for a REAL CABLE LOCK (AS PROMISED) in the description πŸ™„ you are out of luck; I was a bit upset to find that it was for decoration only and that Revane/the seller didn't mention it. All in all these are excellent quality basic shorts as you would expect from Southpole. At least you get what is advertised for it πŸ˜‘

Larger than expected

My son is a size 10 taller but these shorts are 10/12 larger than expected so they were too big for him. Luckily he has a cousin who can wear shorts this summer and he doesn't mind wearing them next summer.

Extra large

I ordered size M (10-12 years) in gray for my 11 year old. They are HUGE and the rope doesn't work so there's no way to get them to stay on their feet. Although the color is great and they look very pretty (I'll like them better in two years time when he can finally wear them).

Gorgeous shorts but oversized

Boys clothes look like any other - there is no one size fits all brand. My son needs 18-20 of most brands which are hard to find. I ordered two other pairs from Levi's and they were over a full size larger than they are. They slid down and rested on his hips and were quite baggy. Also, they're quite long - the inseam didn't measure. He is 5ft 3in tall and with the belt resting on his hips the length was 2 to 3 inches below the bottom of his knee which he didn't like.
