Great product - landline

My old phone broke and I was so happy to find another one just like it. This is exactly what I wanted and works very well. I would recommend it to anyone who needs this type of caller ID.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • old

Defective from the start

This would not normally be a bad review for an SW Bell ID product as I have had similar sets that have lasted for years. This one didn't literally work right out of the plastic packaging. Returned to Revan.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Bad set

Not worth the money

Not what it looks like. The screen is sooooo small that you have to use a magnifying glass to see it. Also, it requires a backlit screen, which it doesn't have. I won't keep it unless I can find a more user friendly one. Absolutely not worth the high price.

Pros
  • While everyone likes it
Cons
  • A lot of things

A perfectly working call display device. I became addicted.

Fully functional call display. I hooked it up in parallel with a retro style wall phone that didn't have an output jack (my previous call display was wired in series with a phone that did). No problem.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Functionality

Great product for the price

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this product after reading a few negative reviews on the display but after receiving and using this product I'm quite happy with it considering the low price. the price I paid. Ease of use was one of my criteria. There is little to complain about on the display. . . . It's legible enough as long as the device isn't positioned at too wide a viewing angle. I regret nothing.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • There are flaws

Decent product, fake warranty

Like most cheap caller id boxes today, the display is severely low contrast and harder to read than boxes made a decade ago. A contrast slider with about 20 settings lets you choose between a background that is too dark (showing all eights) or a foreground that is too light. The device comes with a non-detachable cable, which makes it impossible for you to position the box far from the port with a longer cable. A 1-year warranty is pointless because you have to pay a "shipping and handling fee"

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Periodicity
