The fan works very well for my purpose. The fan will make some noise at full voltage, but when installed as an auxiliary fan on an old diesel truck, the noise will be drowned out by the engine.

Installed to replace a huge 220v squirrel cage fan on a horizontally mounted radiator under my generator set RV. I never knew how much fan noise is part of generator operation. There seems to be an overall noise reduction of 30-50% with generation enabled now. Love it!

I put it on my 1997 Dodge B2500 Van. It replaces the 16-inch Imperial fan that improves air conditioning performance. I found this fan to be slightly quieter and draw fewer amps. I hardwired it to the switch so it really helps when I'm idling or around town. When I drive onto the freeway, I turn it off.

My original 12" fan on my 85 Mercedes Benz 300D started getting noisy, very noisy and started to fail intermittently. The new stock fan was prohibitively expensive. I found this after some searching, it hardly fits, but cools excellently, it's very quiet even at full tilt, I should have ordered the Spal installation kit at the same time.

I only needed to get a switch to install it. All goods are high quality and with wiring diagram. Total installation time was about two hours. Runs like a champ, love the sleek design. Enough space to close the hood.
