The workmanship of this particular home office furniture turned out to be poorly executed. My analysis of this product showed that it was made of cheap materials which not only affected its durability, but also made it look unsightly. On top of that, the shelf was too flimsy to hold any significant weight leaving this piece useless for storing anything but the lightest of items.

They are a perfect match for the Hemnes bookcase from IKEA. These are dowels that go into the holes used to attach the bookshelf bottoms.

Hemnes shelf brackets had to be renewed and lengthened due to shrinkage of wooden shelving. But since I live in a dry climate I don't have a problem with that and the pens work very well.
