I first used Scotch Porter Beard Balm which is incredibly good. But because of the low price and good reviews, I decided to give it a try. After about 2 weeks I have to say that this is the worst product I have ever used on my beard. It's more like wax than anything and only keeps my beard tame for an hour or two. Well, more wax

It's hard to please me in beadwork, but Spartan has its own balm to the point. smell, cleanliness. There is no better way to describe it. It doesn't smell like soap, but it doesn't smell like flowers either. It is smooth. It is not solid and once it gets in your hands it turns into an oil that gets into your beard very easily. Only -complaint-, more personal preferences, not enough wax. It stays on, goes in smoothly, but as I have a large beard and tend to move around a lot, the hold falls off.

Great beard balm in beard conditioners and oils

Very good beard balm for several reasons! I mostly use it when I get out of the shower. I wipe my fingertip off the glass, rub my palms together, and gently massage my beard. It has a very light scent that I can't pinpoint but it smells great and definitely solves the beard tangle issues I had prior to using it.
