Scissors for art supplies

My daughter and granddaughter need them for work. The daughter is a teacher, the granddaughter is an occupational therapist.

Therapy Scissors - Cutting Instruments

These scissors were purchased on the recommendation of an OT Therapist. They are not easy for my son to use, I feel they open too wide for his small hand. He doesn't have much strength in his hand or fingers. But we will continue to train with them. I wish they weren't so harsh, they make me nervous and I always take care of my son with them.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Modern

Great product for learning and for left-handers!

These scissors were just what we needed. My 5 year old is left handed and most of the scissors he used at school were right handed and to be honest he wasn't very good at them. After receiving them and working with them a bit, he quickly got used to them and is now cutting professionally with scissors. You were worth it!

Decent quality scissors

All my students use adaptive scissors and they are used on a daily basis. Of the two sets I bought (different orders/dates) I had to throw away 3 scissors. One sentence - the rivet broke after about 15 uses (5 days a week, 3 weeks). A set - a plastic loop torn at the junction of the loop with the handle. One of the plastic handles broke during one set. We disinfect them daily. No rust.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Out of style

Great way to teach preschoolers how to cut

All kids can fold scissors but preschoolers don't have brightness controls so their whole arm stretches out when they try to open their hand. With these scissors, they can successfully cut without having to worry about the motor controls required to open the scissors. This is a shorter version, this scissors is also 8" for preschoolers and older who have not yet established motor control. (Introduced by Occupational Therapist.)

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Don't know

very safe and easy to use

I am a teacher and have found these scissors very easy to use for supervised children aged 3-5. They are easy to cut circles and various other shapes. The only downside is that the bottom of the handle is too soft, causing them to wobble a bit for kids with smaller or weak hands. It would also be helpful if they came with lids for storage when not in use. Overall I think this is a great purchase, it really inspires confidence and is easy to use.

Pros
  • power
Cons
  • very expensive

Great for my nice students!

I bought these small eyelet scissors for my class to help students who are having difficulty using regular scissors. They are easier to hold and the smaller blades allow them to coordinate their movements. I always have a few students who get occupational therapy for fine motor skills, but it's good for those who don't too. This is a great value for me because I have to spend my own money on it. It may be more expensive, but these work well.

Pros
  • Cutting Tools
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
