Speck CandyShell Case For IPod Touch 4G (LoveHate Pink) Review

Bought 2 of these suitcases. The thin piece on the connector ripped within my son's first month. My daughter broke after about a month. Now a few months later the hard part has completely detached from that strip and all that's left is rubber that won't stay in place once the hard shell is gone. The bottom edge of the iPod is completely open. I love the look of this case but it just doesn't last long.

Great bag! I love the hard outside and the soft, padded inside. I also like how the plastic on the front protrudes slightly over the iPod's screen to protect it from drops. I expect the lower part on the front to crack at some point - I've heard it's common in this case and I can understand why - the plastic feels more brittle than the rest at this point. But despite this I am still very satisfied with the case!

I honestly love my Speck Candyshell cases. Both my husband and I have them for our iPhones, so getting one for our iPod Touch wasn't difficult. The pink was a little lighter than the computer image, but I don't have a problem with that. Sturdy body, I like that the front is slightly raised so the glass doesn't touch the ground (or anything) when dropped. It acts as a kind of bumper. Offers good protection (touch for our two children).

First of all, it looks very good with my iPod. The name says it all: It is a wonderful feast for the eyes. It also absorbs shock very well the few times I've dropped it. The problem is on the bottom of the case. The opening at the bottom is too narrow for any purpose. I can't connect it to the speaker dock I use as an alarm clock so I have to take it off every night. This is annoying as it is very difficult to attach to the iTouch. It is also very difficult to connect certain types of auxiliary

DO NOT buy this Speck Candyshell. As some others have said, the bottom portion that runs along the BOTTOM front edge of the iPod next to the home button breaks very easily. I bought two of these cases: one for me, the second for my wife. In BOTH of our cases, this part broke in the SAME place. I actually took the case off once or twice to replace the screen protector. My wife NEVER took her iPod out of the case and it broke anyway! I won't go into every Speck case, but it goes without saying…
