Tools and equipment need some work

Like other reviews, this crimping tool seems to bite badly. I took a high speed sander and sanded about 2/3 of the inside edge. Seems to be working fine now. The wire tie tool is difficult to cut through 4.5mm wide stainless steel ties. There are no smaller tires to test. The handle falls off.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Modern

Not durable - Very thin - This is a weak copy of the Lisle tool. Avoid

VERY thin - After a few dressings this tool will start to wear out/deform and definitely won't last more than a few dozen dressings. For another $15 I can get an American made tool that will last a lifetime. Well it's a joke! Do not buy. Positive reviews should come from people who have literally only used it once.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Only one puller is good to buy.

Clip broke on first pull. You can clearly see when the handles are fully closed there is a gap in the clamp. But as soon as I pulled it out of the box I knew it wouldn't last long and I was right, it didn't even last a bump. The puller is good and works well. The puller handle is detachable and you can use a socket and ratchet or wrench. I made that and it's still in my shop, the pinscher is in the trash.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Problem

You get what you pay for but not for heavy use.

I knew I was getting a crappy tool, but all I had to do was clamp the inner strut mount to my car. The clamping tool had so much play that it could not be used. The only advantage of this tool was the price. The rounded edge of the crimping tool that bites into the fork will slip off any traditional boot clip. 2nd star - the strapping tool works perfectly. Note. After sanding down the edges of the tension tool that cut into the clamp, I can now use it with standard Moog clamps.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Works as intended - easy to use

2 Piece Auto Banding Tool Set, Auto CV Joint Pliers. I didn't want to disassemble the car a second time to redo an incorrectly fitted dust bag. Also, I wanted both boots to have the same stripe on the front. There are other high mileage vehicles I am working on, this tool will come in handy. If this is your first time using the tool, I recommend following the instructions on the box or watching the video. The tool is easy to use, but if you don't have extra resume download strips, in case…

Poor quality and design

Worked almost once. The jaws of the crimping tool are not sharp enough to grip the boot collar. After the edges were shaped to grip the clip, they broke on first use. The pliers broke at the pivot point. Poor quality metal broke without even tightening the clamp. I ended up with a few end cutters. The roller tool worked well but the handles kept falling off. The cut off handle will stay in place after you tighten the set screw, but the reel handle will fall off once the handle's small plastic…

How I miss "real tools "

My "real tools" from before Amazon, Port Freight, etc. ruined US manufacturing was "borrowed" a long time ago , so that I know better "fell into it" and ordered this one. The attached picture shows what happens when you try to cut the ribbon with this tool (the "cutting tool" just rolls the ribbon underneath like the worst scissors you will ever use). It doesn't matter which direction you turn the cutter, although it was obviously designed (sorry, "copied") to only cut in one direction, it…

5 stars for value for money tool for the average joe or josephine

Different types of band tools, this will be done with a little help. The crimp tool is designed to be snapped on and requires a crimp at the top for a tight fit. They've gotten terrible reviews but good for me. Firstly they're strong, they're held together by a small screw that needs to be tightened from time to time, but mine was pretty tight. The only flaw is that the ends that grasp the raised portion of the band for crimping are blunt (rectangular) rather than angled or tapered. This edge…
