Don't buy for wrx.

The connections are not quite like they came from the factory. The clamps are terrible, one worked, the other didn't close.

Pinch problems are good for engine cooling and air conditioning

Overall good. I had trouble with the screws that came with the clamps. One got cut off so I took a set of bolts that went through a smaller hole with matching nuts. Luckily I had a spare because after putting everything back together the bottom clamp was leaking. I was able to fit another nut and screw it on and the leak stopped. I recommend this heater core, but I also recommend purchasing nuts and bolts/screws for the terminals to save yourself potential trouble and heartache.

Pros
  • Engine cooling and air conditioning
Cons
  • Requires socket

Fits well but the supplied clamps are VERY difficult to install.

Replaced the radiator on the 2010 Forester and it worked. Unfortunately, you must use the clamps that come with this kit. The new core has smaller flanges than the original, so the original clamps will not work. Bought 2 4mm x 0.7 x 20mm hex head screws and washers from ACE Hardware and this gave me the length I needed to place the clamp on the wire, rotate it by hand, insert the wire to secure the O -Compress the ring and tighten the screw with a small ratchet and socket while still holding…
