After ordering this because one of the others broke when shifting I found this one broke too. I have the brand and no problems.

The rubber is pretty hard. If your derailleur doesn't have a long (or short) lever arm I would avoid this product as you will feel like that the wave hits the rubber every time bind the layer

The boot actually has a decent shape and texture. I gave it 3 stars because it's really stiff and it deforms under the compression ring so it has to be clamped to the point where it deforms the ring. I added some flat .125 material underneath to keep it from warping.

I wanted to be absolutely sure it would fit my 1992 Rodeo and even saw reviews from Rodeo owners who were happy with it. Amazon says "Fits your vehicle." Hard no. Not even close. And I tried to remake it to fit, so I can't get it back now. Might fit a shorter switch with a very small hole - currently the hole is about 1" x 0.5" and it's a rectangle. I would advise NOT to cut the circle you want until you know if it isn't long or wide enough.

This is good value for money, good quality rubber. The included plate is the only reason why there are 4 stars. The chrome plate is very thin as others have noted, it deforms as you tighten the screws. If they could double the thickness it would be a 5 star product. When the boot upper is 2 inches or more above the plate, you have a lot of flexibility. The further the boot is pulled out, the easier it moves back/forth to the left. /To the right. If the highest point of your derailleur is closer
